Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
Yes I am continuing to do the Silver Award this year.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
After a long day of walking in 35 degree heat, we relaxed at the camp site. At around 11 o’clock, I fractured my arm! I was driven to the nearest hospital, and waited in the waited in the waiting room until I was seen. It was very busy as it was the hottest day of the year so it was a decent wait. I was seen by the doctor and put in a solid cast. My teachers asked me if I wanted to go home, but me and group had worked so hard that I didn’t want to give up. We drove back to the campsite and arrived at around 4am. After a few hours sleep, we set off the next morning, in the pouring rain… carrying my broken arm and heavy backpack! On the home stretch, I decided to take a picture. I was so relieved to be there and to have completed the adventure. Breaking my arm certainly didn’t take the fun away from the expedition!
