Danielle Krongold
Award Level:
Bronze
Favourite memory of the Award:
Probably spending time with my friends and doing activities on the camps which I normally wouldn’t have done. I have so many memories but one of my favourites would be spending time with friends and volunteering as an assistant coach for netball
Age:
15
Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
Majority of the award consisted of bike riding, I found this challenging as I was scared of bike riding and did not enjoy it at all at the start, however as the award continued I became more confident and as a result I am no longer scared of bike riding
Country:
Australia
Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
I have continued both my physical skill, running, and my major skill being photography. I also continued my volunteering as an assistant netball coach still at Banyule Nets Netball Stadium for Macleod Netball team for a team of under 11 girls. I still try to go on a run as often as I can but it is difficult sometimes when keeping up with school, work and lack of motivation due to the weather. I don’t go on designated walks as much with the aim of photography but I always have a phone or a camera on me which I take heaps of photos on whenever I go out.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
I love photography, it is a genuine passion for me. Recently, I have considered perusing photography as my career path. When I proposed this to family and friends I was met with concerned glances and condescending enquiries about how I plan to pay for food in the future. This rat looks lost, looks confused and yet longing. I too am lost. I wonder if photography is the correct path for me just as the rat ponders where he is to step next.
