Favourite memory of the Award:
At the end of the trip my mum surprised everyone with warm cinnamon donuts. After a long few days of hard work and cold, rainy weather, it was nice to have a warm snack as a group, and made the end of the trip feel extra rewarding as we were all together, celebrating our achievements of the completing our first silver trip!

Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
It was my first time ever kayaking long distances. It was definitely a hard challenge, but by the end of the award I had figured it out and it was an awesome achievement for me!

Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
I have continued playing electric guitar! I started learning because of Duke of Edinburgh during the completion of my bronze level, and decided to continue to pursue that skill with my silver level.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
It was our first silver trip, spent in the pouring rain and bad weather. After a day of kayaking with minimal rain, it begun to pour. We had to work together to lift kayaks and drag our stuff out of the pouring rain. It was hard but we did it! After we all slept the night we woke up to some sunshine. As we were carrying our kayaks back to the water ready for another day of paddling, I was taking a photo of the rainbow that appeared when my award leader walked passed, and ended up taking this photo!
