Fridah Karimi
Award Level:
Gold
Favourite memory of the Award:
My favourite memory of the award is the unity that we should in our group. For example we could hike all day and during the hiking as a group we could all hold each other's hands and be if not the first group but also the second group to get to the checkpoint. Additionally, in the evening when we got to the camping site we were expected to prepare dinner and every one was but our group we could assign roles to every member and this helped us to finish preparing the dinner earlier than most of the groups who had left the task for one member.
Age:
17
Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
My biggest challenge throughout the award was hiking part. Despite my group having my back, it was difficult for me since i was the slowest in the group and i had to keep up with the ace of the rest members. Additionally, most of the days the sun up the head and i was expected to hike in the scorching sun.

During the award process i was learning French which is a total new language to me. I have continued to learn this using the apps that support this for example the Busuu and Duolingo. This has helped me improve in my French results in class since i take French as part of my course.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
This photo was taken when we were getting on top of the tallest hill in the region we in that is the coastal region. It was a long journey and it reminds me of my loving group since we the first group to get there. The place was so cold and wet which made it difficult to climb up there. I was so hungry at this time but despite all this it was very fun because we could make jokes ion the way which made it easier.
