Award Level:
Bronze
Favourite memory of the Award:
The flower bed used to be a huge weed-bed and it was not very nice to look at, so having it all tidied up now is a great reward
Age:
15
Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
On one side of the flower bed, a small toitoi had grown and it took a lot of work and time to pull it out. Everyone in the family took turns pulling it and using the spade to loosen it. Eventually I pulled it out and I was really proud
Country:
New Zealand
Tell us the story behind your photo:
For my gardening project I grew lavender in the flower bed under the kitchen window. This is a photo of the lavender flowering with a bee gathering pollen from it. It was nice to see the bees coming around here and enjoying my lavender I had worked to plant.
