Oluwaseyitodun Johnson
Award Level:
Bronze
Favourite memory of the Award:
My favorite memory was after the completion of the adventurous journey. We gathered together, ate food, and danced. Each group had to present either a song or a dance. My group presented a song that left everyone laughing. This was very comforting and entertaining, forgetting the hardships we faced during the journey.
Age:
17
Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
My biggest challenge has to be having to wake up early and set out for our journey. We walked 20,000 steps before 12 noon and our legs were very sore after. Despite the fact that we got lost multiple times, it was very rewarding because we completed our quest before the other groups.
Country:
Nigeria
Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
Yes, I have. I still bake and I even sold baked goods to raise money for a charity. Also, I still play the sport listed for my Physical Recreation.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
This was the day we set out for our bronze expedition. This was a terrifying experience for me because the forest was very crowded and on our way, we saw a dead snake too. But we eventually made it out of the forest and continued our journey. This is something I never imagined myself doing but looking back, it was a fun experience.
