Remembering our Founder, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh
For more than sixty years, His Royal Highness dedicated immeasurable time and energy to making The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award what it is today. Because of his vision, leadership and dedication, the Award has transformed the lives of millions of young people across more than 130 countries and territories.
As today’s young people face exceptional challenge and change – not least of which, as a result of the current pandemic – The Duke’s vision is perhaps more important now, than it ever has been. We know that his legacy will continue to reach countless more young people to the benefit of communities around the world, for many years to come.
As distinguished members of the World Fellowship, and in light of the very sad news regarding the death of our Founder, whom many of you either met or knew directly, we would be honoured to capture your memories.
