The Foundation benefits from the expert advice and guidance of volunteers from diverse backgrounds, supporting our mission to significantly expand access to the Award worldwide.

Development Advisory Group

The Development Advisory Group exists to help drive forward international fundraising. Building on a strong tradition of senior volunteer engagement, the group supports the Award’s overall Income Development work by helping to build and sustain a global network of supporters and introducers, guiding the positioning of the Award to potential investors and supporters, and by advising on the Foundation’s development plan as it evolves in a changing external environment.

Research Advisory Group

The Research Advisory Group is an advisory committee to the Trustees, guiding a strategic approach to research and evaluation relating to Non-Formal Education and Learning and the Award. The group will be chaired by Professor Pat Dolan, Professor Emeritus at the University of Galway and UNESCO Chair in Children, Youth and Civic Engagement, the first to be awarded in the Republic of Ireland. Further members will be announced in the coming months.

The Research Advisory Group will guide and advise the Foundation as it seeks to track and strengthen evidence of impact of the Award on young people’s Human Skills development, sharing learning across the global network and supporting policy engagement and advocacy.
