Spotlight Session – The Challenges Facing Young People Today

Please join us digitally for the first Spotlight Session hosted by The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, supported by Salesforce.

We will be shining a light on the societal issues facing young people today and the role non-formal education and learning plays in helping them to face these challenges. Alongside this we will be talking about The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and its impact – focussing on how we measure and evidence the Award’s impact.

How it will work:

You will hear directly from some of the young people doing their Award about the challenges they face, followed by a panel-led discussion featuring key voices from the fields of formal education, academia, educational policy, not-for-profit and the business community. Confirmed panellists:

Layne Robinson | Head of Social Policy Development at The Commonwealth
Charlotte Kirby | Vice President of Global Strategic Relations at Salesforce.org
Lee Davis | Interim Director for Teaching & Learning at Cambridge International
Howard Williamson | Professor of European Youth Policy at The University of South Wales
Emma Louise Lyon | Gold Award holder, Gibraltar

This event is accessible via live-stream but, if you are interested in joining us in person on the Ohana Floor at Salesforce, we have a number of spaces available; please get in touch with us at [email protected] to enquire.
