Ayşe Miray
Award Level:
Bronze
Favourite memory of the Award:
I have a lot of great memories, but I'll try to summarize the feelings I had during the award. When we visit the schools, the curiosity and the pure simile on the children's faces are the best part of this award. In general, we go to rural schools, and the students there do not receive many gifts from their families due to economic problems. When they see the new books, pencils, and some play doughs, they start to simile, and happiness appears in their eyes. Witnessing this miracle is my favorite memory I gained with this award.

16
Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
Sometimes we have to go to schools far from the city. The road may get long and hard, but still, it is worth it.

Turkey
Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
I continued to be a participant in this project, and I met with a lot of children. Talking and playing with them make the tiredness I have lost.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
I'm a member of one of our school projects called "Blue Butterfly." This project aims to provide equal rights in education for each child. We visit schools and try to supply some essential school materials such as reading books, notebooks, pens, and pencils. Also, if the school is old and needs help with money expenses, we try to provide that too. In this photograph, we visited a poor school and painted the school walls. Besides, we established a school library for children. It is a photo of mine while painting. This day was my happiest day.
