Favourite memory of the Award:
My favourite memory of the award was definitely during our bronze practice adventurous journey. It was freezing cold and pouring with rain on our hike, and my whole group linked arms on the fire trail to keep warm. We all joked that we were penguins linking together. It was so fun and wholesome!
Age:
18
Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
The biggest challenge during the Award was defining Covid. I had just started my gold award at the start of 2020 when we went into our first Covid lockdown, and thinking about completing my hours seemed almost impossible, let alone doing my residential project and adventurous journey. Fortunately, was determined to finish, and set myself the goal to finish my gold award before i finished school. Through my hard work, I was successful!

Australia
Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
After finishing the Award, my love for exploring, and challenging myself has continued. During the award, I learnt Italian and Spanish for my skills section. These have both helped me with my solo travels.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
I was completing my Silver qualifying adventurous journey and we were on our last day of the three day trip. I captured this photo of two of my friends on my disposable camera while we were kayaking. Despite the smiles on their faces, this was a super challenging day!
