Thehasa Thirandie Hangarangoda
Award Level:
Bronze
Favourite memory of the Award:
As a Girl Guide, I get giddy at any opportunity to travel anywhere. For me, the best part was to be able to hike and witness the mundane and solitude lives of Buddhist Monks that lived during the ancient times and Brahmin inscriptions found on the drip ledges of the caves.
Age:
16
Country:
Sri Lanka
Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
Yes, I continued with guitar and swimming. I am also eager to learn more about students with disabilities and impairments.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
This is me on top of the Thoppigala Lena located in the Pilikuttuwa Raja Maha Viharaya in Gampaha, Sri Lanka. Eventhough, everything in the vicinity was crystal clear from up above, I am seen here with my trusty binoculars gazing at what could possibly be beyond it!
