Cameron Smart
Asia-Pacific Region & Honorary Chair of the Award’s World Fellowship
Cameron brings 40+ years’ experience in institutional-grade commercial property. He started at Craig Miller Pty Ltd in property and asset management, later expanding into valuation and expert work across acquisitions, resumptions and family-law matters. Across senior roles (including founding Landsburys International) and at firms such as Richard Stanton & Sons, he has led investment sales and acquisitions—often off market—for UHNW clients, property trusts and institutions.

He has advised some of Australia’s leading owners on investment and development strategy, including the Uniting Church in Australia, where he served for more than two decades as a Director across governance bodies such as the Property Trust and the Board of Finance & Property, and supported education and community organisations including Burnside Homes.

Cameron is a Non-Executive Director of Providence Philanthropic Foundation and previously served on BOMA (now the Property Council of Australia). He is known for advocating for dispossessed property owners, helping secure fair outcomes under the Just Terms Compensation Act.

Outside work, he has logged 25,000+ nautical miles as a marine explorer and has managed mixed farming and cattle enterprises since age 18. His interests include skiing, tennis and water skiing.

A long-standing advocate for people and communities without a strong voice, Cameron has supported the expansion of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award into under-resourced communities and has worked closely with cerebral palsy initiatives to improve quality of life outcomes.
