Finding leadership skills through the Award
Jordan, from Indonesia is 14 and starting out on his Award journey with Bronze. An active social media user, he has recently been involved in the Award’s takeover of the Royal Family’s Instagram Stories to celebrate International Youth Day 2020.
Tell us about your Award journey – why did you decide to start your Award?
I want to take part in something challenging and to improve my leadership.
What do you like about the Award?
The uniqueness of how we do the Award.
What do you find challenging about the Award?
To stay disciplined throughout the pandemic.
Is the Award helping you to deal with any of these challenges? If so, how?
Yes, now I have another plan to do my Award.
Has anything remained the same?
Yes, my unfinished Voluntary Service involved the other participants and they can’t do their Awards during this pandemic.
Have you found any interesting solutions to help you continue with your Award during COVID-19?
Yes, I tried to do a conference call with the other participants.
Do you have anything else you’d like to share?
I hope that the Awards can encourage more young leaders to stay active.
