Favourite memory of the Award:
My favorite memory of the award was when one of our team members carried supplies for marshmallow roasting (S'mores) for us to roast at our campsite. It turned out to be a memorable part of our journey since all the groups, assessor and our teacher supervisors came together and sang songs around the campfire when it was freezing cold outside in the desert. I also gained some valuable life lessons from my teachers as they shared some of their wildest experiences and gave us some words of wisdom that touched my heart.

Biggest challenge from doing the Award:
One of the biggest challenges we faced when doing the award was in a situation where our group had to take a route that went through a high inline valley, which was way harder than we had expected eventually after reaching the top we realized that we had exhausted all our water supply which made us think critically and ration our supplies. As a group, we came together to brainstorm ideas on how to get ourselves out of this situation, which we, fortunately, managed to do effectively displaying our perseverance.

Have you continued any of your Award activities? If so, what:
Yes, As an Activity I had chosen the sport of Table Tennis, it is a sport that I am personally passionate about. After completing the gold award, I kept continuing my practice in the sport as I, fortunately, got scouted to represent the United Arab Emirates as the U19 boys table tennis captain at the International School Sport Federation (ISFS) tournament in France (Normandy). This truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will cherish lifelong.
Tell us the story behind your photo:
This picture was taken during our final assessed Gold journey when we were approached by a friendly Camel in Ras-Al-Khaima (UAE). It so happened to look right at the camera when we were shooting a video about our experience and hurdles we overcame so far, it was to be a part of a compilation of videos in the creation of a vlog which was the goal of our award journey. ps: The picture features Jameel the camel
